The Sendler Exhibition was on display in the council building as part of Barking’s Holocaust Memorial Day commemorations. It was situated in a very public area and staff at the Town Hall estimated that there were over 200 visitors. This figure is probably an underestimate as all 250 of the accompanying booklets were taken!
IMPACT Apart from the positive feedback about the quality of the exhibition, this resulted in LftR being invited to organise Holocaust Education for the 10-14 age group across the borough. A pilot project was set up in a local school for early June 2018 from which a broader scheme was developed for 2018/19.
